What we collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address. When you use Fold, we store the memories, photos, and captions you post. We also store metadata like timestamps and book membership information.

What we don't collect

We do not run advertising. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not track your behaviour across other websites or apps. We do not use your content to train AI models.

Photos and memories

Photos you upload are stored securely and are only visible to members of the same book. We do not process, analyse, or use your photos for any purpose other than displaying them to your group.

Emails

We use your email address to send account-related messages (password resets, join invites, new memory notifications). You can opt out of notification emails at any time by contacting us. We will never send marketing emails without your explicit opt-in.

Third-party services

Fold is built on Supabase (database and authentication) and hosted on Vercel. Emails are sent via Resend. These services have their own privacy policies. We choose infrastructure partners who take data protection seriously.

Data retention

Your memories, photos, and books are retained as long as your account exists — that's the whole point of Fold. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days. Sealed books may be retained in anonymised form for archival purposes unless you request full deletion.
